Pricing FAQ

Can I use BitterDesk for free?

Yes. The Starter plan is free forever and includes an AI chat widget for one site with 100 chat sessions per month. No credit card required to get started. This is ideal for personal projects, small businesses, and portfolio sites that need basic customer support.

What counts as a chat session?

A chat session is a single conversation between a visitor and the AI assistant. If a visitor closes the widget and returns later, that counts as a new session. Sessions are counted monthly and reset on your billing date.

Can I switch plans at any time?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. When upgrading, you get immediate access to new features. When downgrading, your current billing cycle completes before the change takes effect. All plans are handled through BitterCheckout for secure payment processing.

Do you offer a free trial for Professional?

Yes. The Professional plan comes with a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required during the trial period. At the end of the trial, you can subscribe or automatically drop back to the Starter plan.

How does BitterDesk integrate with other Bitter services?

BitterDesk is part of the Bitter platform constellation. It integrates natively with BitterHub for centralized management, BitterCheckout for payment processing, BitterPost for transactional email, BitterPing for uptime monitoring, and BitterAnalytics for deep reporting.

Is there an API for managing BitterDesk programmatically?

Yes. All BitterDesk features are accessible via REST API with API key authentication. The API supports site configuration, chat session management, form submission retrieval, webhook configuration, and analytics export. Full API documentation is available in the developer portal.
