How much does BitterDesk cost?

BitterDesk plans start at $9/month for Starter (1 site, 500 chat sessions/month). Professional is $29/month (10 sites, 5,000 sessions). Enterprise is $99/month (100 sites, 50,000 sessions). All plans include the one-script support widget, agent configuration, support policy, safe support intake, durable transcripts, and signed webhook handoff. Prices are billed monthly through BitterCheckout.

What counts as a chat session?

A chat session is a single conversation between a visitor and the AI support agent. If a visitor closes the widget and returns later, that counts as a new session. Sessions are counted monthly and reset on your billing date.

Can I switch plans at any time?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. When upgrading, you get immediate access to new features. When downgrading, your current billing cycle completes before the change takes effect. All plans are handled through BitterCheckout for secure payment processing.

Do I need to use the rest of the Bitter platform?

No. BitterDesk is a standalone help desk for your own website or app. It can integrate with BitterHub, BitterCheckout, and BitterPing, but those are optional sibling integrations and first-consumer surfaces.

Is there an API for managing BitterDesk programmatically?

Yes. BitterDesk exposes API surfaces for site configuration, chat sessions, conversation records, webhook configuration, answer receipts, and handoff state. Use the API when the dashboard is not enough for your workflow.
